I have to disagree...Crockett Co.'s backfield has to be among the top in the state. Artis Pitts, who should be 3A Mr. Football with over 1,200 yards and Earnest Williams who will eclipse the 1,000 tard mark tonight have to be considered one of the toughest backfields to defend in the state of Tennessee. Every game we have played this year one of the two would make a lot of noise, and the other is never far behind.

I think this is the best backfeild in east west or middle TN they have a man to run the ball in any situation and I think no one can out do them. I also think that they will make it back to state sooner or later hopefully this year.

GO LANDERS! ;)

They both have great backfields but Maryville may have the best one.It is debatable though. Carl Stewart is a 1000 yd rusher.Chris McCord will be a 1000 yd rusher before the season is over despite missing a game.Antonio Byner is a very good back who would start for 95% of the other teams in the state.

If TJ Brock had been here it wouldn't have debatable. Maryville would have had by far the best backfield.

    • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.  But my point was who can blame a kid for not wanting to be in a private school.  Nobody is zoned for a private school, it's a free country right?
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
