How dare you suggest anything that would makes sense like this. TSSAA doesn't do very much that does make sense but yes it would make sense to put all 8 teams in a single 8 team double elimination bracket. It would make for more pitching for teams that fall into losers bracket early but it would help cut out one pitch wonder teams also. Know that the champ has to beat some team twice but it would help insure that the 2 best teams could be there at the end and 1 not going home because they got put into the same top or bottom bracket

It is all the money game. You can bet your life money was discussed at the TSSAA meeting when the rigged drawings were made. It would be nice if there was another organization to compete with the TSSAA and their high paid officials.

I am not defending the TSSAA because it is ALL about the money. But this is the same format used in the college world series. It is not something they made up. As far as the brackets go, it is a blind draw (wink, wink).

Just because colleges do something doesn't make it right, just think about a committee voting on who the best team instead of a playoff but thats what college has done for years in Football. Its a bad format especially if they are blind drawing it, I would be better with it if they reseeded the teams in did the current bracket but to blind draw it and have no way for the teams to interact is not smart IMO....with that said, games are played on the field and for those who think FCS can just throw out the gloves and win then they are badly mistaken because as we proved this year upsets do happen and even happens when the teams are very distant, so lets give Cornersville, Scotts Hill, and Grace a chance to play before we put the Crusaders in the championship game becuase they are very worthy to be here and just might surpise the "machine" this week:}.....Good Luck to All this Week!!

Friendship has experience in Seniors plus State Tourney experience - also have deep pitching

After FCS - Silverdale is next best team. Riverside - lack of pitching will show up toward finals of bracket play - Summertown will be a pest and could upset Silverdale and make it to the finals. I thnk it will be Silverdale vs Friendship in finals.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
