AC looked really really good in the scrimmage..the final score was 6-5 Fulton...would have been a great real game..AC will be very very good this year.

Wow.... Mike Ditka is pointing at you right now saying "stop it" . Fulton would score 100 on AC if they wanted to. They would embarrass you  and about every other team around here. 6-5, that is honest

Kerr actually got to teach at the high school last year for the first time.  It has already helped.  He has also kept the incoming group of freshmen intact.  Anybody that saw that group play last year knows they are legit.  There will probably be 2 freshmen starting and possibly a third.  He has also made a great upgrade at the OC Position this year.  He has done a good job with the hand he was dealt.  

 

Clinton has lost a lot of kids to transfers, but that started before Kerr got there, just look at Grace Christians teams the past 2 years.  They had several Clinton kids that were difference makers.   Its a shame kids don't stick it out with the kids they grow up with anymore.  Its easier to jump ship and ride someone else's coat tail to winning.  That being said, I hope Clinton turn things around this year, but their depth and lack of line will make it tough.  

 

Now, for the game.  I think Clinton will be hard pressed to contain Hicks in the back field.  Hicks is a special kid, and does so many things you cant teach.  He will be the difference maker in determining if AC can push past Powell or Oak Ridge this year.  AC wins this one by 3 scores.

Those freshmen beat Jefferson 6-0 in overtime. Great defense, especially Javon Shepherd. Now that Jefferson and Robertsville are together, payback could get ugly.

Yep.  Nowadays the middle schools try to get games for the younger players because most wouldn't get playing time otherwise.  Sometimes they'll just get a fifth quarter at the end of a varsity game but in Clinton's case we generally always play full games with both.

Who does Norris Middle play this week might half to attend been hearing good things about this team I hear next year they will have a big 8th grade class. Cant wait to see these guys when they get to AC...

      Pickett is good, may have a Mr. Football like season if he’s used correctly. One of the best teams Marion has fielded in a while. I think they go 12-1 and loose to ER.  ER has better players at almost every position. If they play discipline this year, they win soundly. If they don’t though…Marion could sneak away with it.

      I’m betting the house on the Indians. Pickett and Co will be the only team to challenge the Indians in the East. Huntingdon can in the West. I think Brooks goes 15-0 and has the first perfect season and state championship in ER history.

      Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.

      Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
