York had those tall guys last year but just seemed lanky and not good with the ball. Just being honest. Looks like they have turned it around.

LA looked a lot better last night winning at Jackson County than the did at home losing against Stone last week. Give them a little more time and I think they will come together quite well. Big man played well with guard play improving and very quick. Big test Friday at Pickett County !!

i'm telling you they are for real. they have turned it around. they look like a completly opposite team. they have all the ingredients to win a state championship. height, speed, and shooters and a coach who is doing a great job. they are scary good.

DCTiger....Gordonsville has two games with Upperman in the next two weeks. How do you think they matchup with the Bees?

Not sure about the boys. Upperman is supposed to have one of their posts back that was hurt last season and 2-3 returning starters. Gordonsville is really really good. They really impressed me against smith, and I was surprised that they lost to Pickett (testament to how good PC is too, maybe). G-Ville definitely has the pieces to win the game, I think, but Upperman is always so good.

The boys look much improved from the summer and will continue to get better. Still some issues rebounding and with interior D but a hard fought win in a hostile environment will be good for them. The game was tight the entire time.

Still relying on the three ball a lot, and right now a less than decent shooting night will kill this team.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
