somebody told me that a class a team beat dc at whitwell by 8 they say it went 3 overtime anyone knows any thing what going on and who was the team they said yoy had them beat but gave it away

Monterey beat DeKalb in three overtimes.

Monterey is a state tournament caliber class A team this year.

DC beat Signal Mountain today.

Cannon lost to a pretty darn good MTCS team.

Signal had a huge size advantage, but not much on shooting or a press break. DC was able to impose their playstyle somewhat today.

 

Monterey is very good this year, I will say that. DC DID have several opportunities to close out the game but MH kept coming and did what they had to to win, like any good team should. Them, Gordonsville, and Pickett are three very good A teams this year, and Watertown may in that discussion again as well. Hope we get to meet up with Monterey at the Watertown Christmas tournament for a rematch.

 

Don't really know anything about MTCS other than they have a Mr. Basketball nominee who has had two quadruple doubles in the past. Would like to see that kid play.

 

DC has Upperman Tuesday. I've never seen York or Ely play basketball, so I don't know about them, but Dronebarger and Devillanueva are great players that DC will have trouble matching up with. (Was one of those two a transfer to Cookeville? Or someone else?)

We had our chances to win. Held the Spears kid to 19, an yes he is legit. Just couldn't capitalize late. MTCS is a solid A team as well. Good luck vs Upperman

DC upsets Upperman (I had to haha! We KNOW it would be a big upset, just hope the Tigers can keep it close and have a chance at the end.)

DC plays very hard, vs Monterey the other night it was like every possession was the last. That can help offset their height disadvantage to an extent.
