there are going to be 2 close games when #4 meets #1..Lincoln Co. vs. Riverdale will be a good game and Cookville vs. Smyrna will also be good games. If 4 seeds can upset 1 seeds these will be the games. :confused:

I think Hampton and Wartburg will be a very competitive game, but if the Elizbethton Bulldogs can't handle Mark Byrd, then they will have just as much trouble with Wartburg QB John T. Armes, who runs the ball as well as Byrd and throws the ball better than anybody in that area. I look for a hard fought game, but Wartburg will prevail.

huntingdon played a bad game last night and still has a bad taste from last year when they lost to harpeth in the 1st round of the playoffs huntingdon will be out for blood come friday night.

Trenton Peabody beating Memphis Mitchell will almost certainly happen.4A,5A & some Div 2 schools are the only ones out of Memphis that are worth anything.I'd almost call #1 Mitchell over #4 Peabody the upset.

Smyrna beats Cookeville by three touchdowns, leading their region to a first-round sweep. If Antioch can beat Cookeville, Smyrna will manhandle them.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Collierville beat JCM in 5A. JCM is 10-0, but they play in what may have been the weakest region in 5A this season. Besides that, Region 8 has typically dominated 7 in the playoffs in the past. This should be a good game.

Peabody over Mitchell, Southside could upset Marshall as they have the size, speed, etc but seem to be lacking heart and that plays a big part come playoff time. Huntingdon I hear lost their QB so that could have a bearing on that game.
