Few thoughts.

 

1. Mamastarz, God bless you ma'mm.  I'll add you to my daily prayer list.

 

2. Burger, fries and a Gatorade for $7 might be the best deal in Blount County.

 

3. I don't know who #14 is for the Alcoa Middle School team but he could play small college football right now.  Wow.

 

4. While I've not followed this game as long as some, last night was the first time I watched Maryville just physically whip them on both sides of the ball at the line.  Actually, that's the first time I've ever seen that happen to a Rankin-coached team.

 

5. If I'm a 3A team not named Alcoa, CAK, or Milan, I've got to at least think I have a chance right now for the first time in a long, long time.

 

6. That said, I feel sorry for McMinn County next week.

 

7. All-around great performance by the Rebels.  That game was over with 11 minutes left in the first quarter.

Here in DC I saw that read option ran to perfection last year...last Friday night, I saw it ran with the same type of perfection! I also agree that it was the first time that I have seen the Rebel's line play (on both sides) dominate like they did Friday. GQ's game plan and the Rebel's play were near perfection!  Great job and great win!!!
