Mustangs will win this game

If Huntingdon plays like they did last week it could be a long game, but if they play like they can then I like my Mustangs in this one. Either way should be a packed house and a great game.

Union City will have to play perfect...Huntingdon will have to have some mistakes...Union City will have to grind out 10-15 play drives and eat up clock...Huntingdon is as good as last year's team and Union City isn't...Huntingdon blew us out twice last year so I don't really see that changing at a very tough place to play...I hope I'm very wrong but I don't see it being close...

I think our defense is just as good as it was last year!

There was five all- state players that played on last years defense. Huntingdon has not faced a real good offense so far this year either.

I agree last year was good! But so far most of our points have been scored against the offense. I think this year defense is looking just as good!

The issues were mostly on offense and special teams, I love the way the defense is clicking.  I'm going to be honest with you if everyone stays healthy, I think the only team that'll score 30 points on us offensively during the regular season is Dresden.  I could be wrong bout that but I think high of the defense and they still haven't given me a reason to change my mind.

 

Special teams looked better against Bruceton last week too, still need a better kicking extra points though but you gotta love that blocked punt.

I think Dresden is over rated! I might be wrong. I have heard the last few years...watch out for Dresden, well they haven't shown me anything impressive. They might show out this year, but until then, 30 points is crazy talk. This week, I hope the Mustangs are ready for the Tornadoes!

I don't know if UC will beat the Stangs or not but I do believe we will compete. With only 3 seniors it is a tall order. We have a lot of youth but they are good ones. I believe we are building toward a strong season and a good competitive game here is important to the direction we are going in. I know our boys are taking this challenge very serious. I simply hope we keep mistakes to a minimum and that we take advantage of any and all mistakes the Stangs offer up. If we can catch some breaks and play good fundamental football then we will be in good shape in the 4th qaurter. If the fumble fairies show up again we will loose and loose big.
