Saw some of freshmen game last night. Tough loss to the west freshmen. I didn't see it all, but heard 44-31.

 

Was there a jv game? If so, how did it turn out?

That group is missing the talents of Porter, Young, and Blackmon....my guess is that group would be undefeated right now with those three playing.  Have they moved Goss back in to RB or is he still at WR?  Other guys are getting much needed experience and playing time, and that will only help in the long run.

I was doing some adding monday night at the game - and yes it was easier in my flip flops. From last yrs middle school team to this year, we lost 3 fulltime basketballers, 1 broke foot, 2 varsities, 1 shoulder, 1 suspension, 1 moved to nashville, and at least 3 concussions. None of those guys played monday. The young men who are playing are playing hard and getting some great experience. I bet the two transfers are wondering what the crap happened to everybody!

 

But because we don't like to make excuses, I hear the burden is being shouldered by the coaches. Do you think their seat is getting hot yet?

What is the deal with all of the concussions?  Are we just that much more educated on concussions these days that we are now finding out how many of these young guys are getting concussions or just everytime a kid has a headache while playing football, it is just automatically considered a concussion?

 

I have never seen anything like it....back in the day, if every kid that had a headache had to come out of a game, we would have needed a 200 man roster to get through a game.
