What's the point of a system of rules and fair play if the people that know something turn a blind eye to when someone cheats? If they're playing 2 ineligible players why wouldn't someone who knows about it from another school turn it in? We're not talking about being afraid to rat out a drug deal or criminal because he might burn your house down. We're talking about a fair and playing field for kids to prove who is the best team based on ability, skill and determination.

Seems to me if someone knows of cheating it ought to be turned in. But then again I'm used to fishing tournaments where if you get caught cheating you might not make it out of the parking lot alive......

I appreciate your service but this ain't the 60s.

Oh how bold of you to make such statements after you're back in Chattanooga. Funny thing is everyone knows who I am and where I'm at during games. It would have been very easy for you to ask and then find me on the field. So while your team is impressive you are not.

We aren't friends. Go scratch.

Listen Grundy don't deserve you representing them FISHERMEN! They played hard. Your coach puts a lot of them in the wrong positions. From where I was setting in the stands it was a well played game. No dirty play at all. I saw the seniors in the fishing club introduced. Did you take them to Branson Missouri to Bass pro shop for a field trip? If not your not much of a coach. I like Grundy a lot the people fine folks. I have friends on the mtn. Good day my friend. If you met me I know we would like eachother. I'm just old country .

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
