Science hill @ Siegel

This to me will be an interesting game and pretty evenly matched.

Science Hill is doing something I have said needs to be done for years. More traveling IN the state to find good competition instead of going outside the state. Like another has said, no matter the outcome it will make you a better team come playoff time.

The one thing I can tell you about Siegel is that they have what should be the best kicker you have seen this year. If he gets within 45 yards he can hit it. QB play is not what it was last year, yet. The current QB gets better every game as he gains game experience and confidence in his ability.

The second thing you should know. Do NOT get comfortable with any lead! They can and WILL come back.

It's tough for any team to get on a 4-hr bus ride to get a W.

Stars 41

Toppers 38

Wipe out the 4 hour ride and get there the day before and stay in a hotel and play fresh Friday. With that many Coaches along that are 'supposed' to be teachers they could hold classes at the Motel Conference rooms. There are ways around the missing classes. Just have to have an administration that REALLY supports the sports programs.

What will be hard is the 4 hour ride home if they do NOT get the win.

Good point, and if the Toppers need any other reason about not letting off the gas then watch the video below.      DB vs. Sevier County, 2nd round of 2011 playoffs.    DB is up 28-0 with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd.      Watch the video if you want to see how it ends

Hey I heard Birkenstock's is having a shoe sell today. Just is case you want to get dressed up before heading out to the "man cave" this weekend.

I heard the flea market is having a big sale on all the Jorts and cutoff Nascar shirts. Make sure to grab some combat boots too. Just letting you know incase you were heading out to go muddin with your boys later.

ha ha ha...I actually desided to google "Jorts" before I replied because I'd never heard of that. Makes sense. Only someone from "JOHNSON" City would of posted that.  Volkswagens, Birkenstocks & Jorts. It all adds up.

I believe the thinking in the previous administrations at SH was why travel 4+ hours to get your but whooped.  I think the program has gotten to a point where they can schedule these tough schools and be competitive and learn how to win big games.  And that will pay off in the postseason.

I guess we'll find out  Friday night...

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
