Y'all are really underestimating Union City. I like that y'all believe in your team but you might want to tone it back a little.

2013 NCS fans = 2011 Huntingdon fans....did y'all know they beat Milan?

I wasn't intending to tick anyone off and my tone was not confrontational.  I was just stating an opinion.  I believe the winner of the NCS vs. Jo Byrns rematch will be in Cookeville.  You believe UC will be in Cookeville.  It's all conjecture until the Friday before Cookeville - then we'll know for sure.

Heres my prediction, the team that runs the ball the best will be facing SP for the gold ball and I'm going to go with UC as of now

UC will have to play Humboldt again, & Humboldt want let the game slip away this time! Humboldt came back from 12 down at half & took the lead so I'm hoping for a rematch!! McLilly will play this Friday & hopefully he will get stronger & make the offense even better so " Not so fast" my friend!!!! We still have a few more weeks of regular season left & I agree a team that runs the ball but also passes the ball will have a chance at gold ball, a balance offense that's unpredictable!!!

In 09 when UC came to WC I don't think they completed a pass

Well, my friend last week they had to throw the ball several times & made a couple big passes to keep their drive going in the second half! Humboldt will be ready come playoff time & will be a hard out for whoever plays them, this lost might be just what they needed to get them focused!!

I know everyone will pile on just because we are NCS, but watch some film if you don't believe me.  We HAVE a balanced offense.  Now I know you can't throw the ball if you can't run the ball.  Our big, stud tailback only ran the ball 6 times last week (for 152 yards).  We came out and ran a completely different scheme than we had run all season - throwing the ball quite a bit.  Our opponent was weak - but it worked.

I agree! What hurt Humboldt is losing a 2200 yard back in McLilly who will be back this Friday! You can't replace a 6'1 195lb back who can outrun you, run over you & has great vision!! Humboldt has always had a running game but now we have a passing game which has only made us better!!

    • While one may be inclined to perceive this narrative through a lens of fiction, it behooves us to recognize the inherent robustness of its credibility. For those seeking veracity, the surest path lies in direct engagement with the primary source. Let us adhere diligently to the matter at hand, focusing our deliberations on the matter of paramount importance: the identification of the individual most suited to assume the mantle of head coach. I invite introspection and discourse regarding not only personal preferences but also the criteria defining merit and suitability for this esteemed position.
    • If it’s one single kid then that argument would make sense. He’s essentially had to replace his entire coaching staff in the first two seasons, and like it’s been pointed out only one left for a better job. The two most talented players in the area both left, and number of others are actively trying to leave, including the head basketball coaches son. Also, the rumors of financial problems and over spending by Jones. Unpaid bills, missing money, inability to fundraise, has the boosters sick of being hit up for money.    Im saying that is the definition of a poorly run disorganized program. If you want to pretend it’s a well oiled machine maybe you should take your maroon glasses off. All I know is I wouldn’t let my boys play in that kind of mess.
    • It usually gets tiresome when posters play characters on the board, but I must admit that I’ve found some humor in wingback’s take on this art form.  However, his rundown on the potential candidates seems as much fiction as his persona!
