Thanks GTS our furture is looking brighter as well at Karns we have had so many injuries and you are right our kids just don't have the confidence just yet but, I do hope we play well regardless of score as we have to start somewhere, glad to hear about your young guys, good luck tomorrow.

Your welcome. If Campbell County can have a relevant team anybody can do it. Not being mean, just the truth.

I think you are 100% correct,  glad for CC but, reality will set in soon for those guys, OR has tradition and it shows with the pride in which the kids play, these programs having to run gimmick offenses to have success are flashes in a pan, programs like OR at least has a year to year program, lost allot of respect for CC at the Halls game, they can't be happy to be winning they have to play starters and throw passes up 49 -0 to try an show someone they are for real, my take get real and have a little sportsmanship. sorry just isn't cool to show off when you have been bad most of your programs history .

Well, not sure what to think about that. I'm not sure if CC can have a traditionally good team, but looks like they will be decent for a few years, at least. I don't think anybody expected us to be that great this year, but trust me when i say a lot of help is on the way for the future. We will elite again pretty soon. Frosh are undefeated and Robertsville and add some quiet talented kids from Jefferson and we will be scary good i think in the next 3-4 years. Good luck to The Beavs. If anybody was gonna beat us this would be the year. Better get your licks in now, so to say.

Doubt that on the Freshmen. The fans may not be paying attention, but i guarantee after last weeks performance OR's coaches sure as heck aren't overlooking Karns as well as the players. Karns has some good athletes, more then CC does. They just don't play with the confidence CC plays with. Much better pure athletes, though.

Sorry but IMO that's a dang ignorant post. To convince me of that will take some explanation and you don't have one unless you're talking about an unmentionable subject in which case you're still wrong. Tell me who on Karns is as good an athlete as Torres? Bailey? Evans? Phillips? I'm waiting....

I don't care if you think it's ignorant or not. Karns has athletes with pure athletic skill that CC doesn't have. To be honest CC doesn't have any athletes that "stand out" so to say, they just play as a team and the coaches have them playing with confidence. Not in anyways does that mean they have guys with no talent, they do. But none that really just jumped out to me. Torres, and the guys you mentioned are all "good" athletes, not eye popping by any means. It's an opinion, leave it at that.

It's an opinion alright, and a ridiculously misinformed one at that!

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
