KWC,

I am going out of the country tomorrow and hate that I am going to miss next weeks picks. Sooooo..... Although I have no idea what games you are going to pick, here are my Pre-week 8 picks. BGIM is so important to me!

Booker T. Washington at Oakhaven - BTW

Briarcrest at CBHS - CBHS

Carver at Mitchell - Mitchell

Collierville at Munford - Collierville

Cordova at Kingsbury - Cordova

Covington at Ripley - Covington

Craigmont at Sheffield - Craigmont

Douglass at Manassas - Manassas

ECS at Northpoint Christian - ECS

FACS at Lausanne - Lausanne

Fairley at Raleigh Egypt - Fairly

Frayser at Westwood - Frayser

Germantown at Kirby - Germantown

Houston at Ridgeway - Ridgeway

Melrose at Hamilton - Melrose

Memphis Central at Memphis Overton - Central

MUS at St. Benedict - MUS

Southwind at Wooddale - Southwind

Station Camp at Brighton - Brighton

Chuck:

I will cull the BGIM selections from this list. I will not have a game that isn't listed above. I'm tempted to use the whole list ... naahh!

Game 1: White Station @ Arlignton

Arlington by 7. Turnovers will be the difference

Game 2: Ridgeway @ Collierville (D)

Ridgeway by 12. The Roadrunners' Athletes will be zooming thru Collierville

Game 3: Fairley vs Manassas @ JP Freeman (D)

Fairley by 8. Fairley's "home-field" advantage should be enough.

Game 4: Southwind @ Germantown (D)

G-Town by 10. This community battle should be interesting until after the halftime adjustments are made.

Game 5: Hamilton vs Overton @ Halle (D)

Hamilton by 6.

Game 6: Rossville Christian @ Lausanne ®

Lausanne by 3. Crosses fingers LOL

Game 7: Central @ St. Benedict

Central by 6. Size matters and I'm guessing Central has more than St. Ben

Game 8: Millington @ Liberty Tech

Millington by 3. Liberty Tech sounds like they should lose to the Trojans.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
