icecold06
At what point did TSSAA think it was smart to have the two best teams from the same district have a potential matchup in any round other than the championship round smh
allabouttheO
Tix go on sale tomorrow at both schools and extra seating is being brought in. There will be a 3rd gate open for pre game tix buyers.
oldhick76
At what point did TSSAA think it was smart to have the two best teams from the same district have a potential matchup in any round other than the championship round smh I agree it stinks, but unless you throw away travel considerations, this will happen every year. 7AAA (6A) has so many great teams, it's inevitable ... like the SEC beating up on each other..only one gets in the Championship. Except that 7AAA has not won a championship since Maryville moved up. It would help Maryville's percieved easy road to the Championship, if all the teams in the East (1A thru 6A) would win a Gold Ball this year. FridayMainEvent
Yes, that is the latest listings. Sorry, our discussion on possible pairings was made prior to TSSAA latest release today. You had three western teams Southwind, Cordova, and Germantown enter the playoff picture this week. Unfortunately for District 7AAA, it made a difficult bracket even harder with an excellent Ravenwood team entering the picture. They have already locked up district 11 (no way they lose to Summit) so that would bump the loser of the Thursday game down to the 3rd seed. That makes Siegel and Smryna likely road teams in the first round. This Quad is murderous!
mykidsdad
At what point did TSSAA think it was smart to have the two best teams from the same district have a potential matchup in any round other than the championship round smh I agree. I say seed the quads 1-8 regardless of District Champions. However give the District Champion the home game because they're won their District they should at least get something. Giving a team that plays no-one a higher seed because they beat no-one is absurd. Mix up the Districts between Quads one and two. As for travel, there is little difference between going to Nashville, Clarksville, Williamson County or any where else in the mid-state area for that matter. FridayMainEvent
I've spoke with both coaches tonight. I'll have interviews with both of these outstanding coaches on our pregame show Thursday at 6:00 pm.

I called the school last week and was told tickets would only be sold at Oakland and the gate Thursday.

SCBisondad
Pulling for Blackman but I think Oakland goes undefeated this year.
