did you people even watch the game? the inadvertent whistle cost westview the game, plain and simple. Westview recovered the fumble deep in LC territory with 3 mins to go. would of been game over. the new 7 man officiating crew idea is a bust

Except it wasn't a fumble anyway. Ground can't cause a fumble and he was clearly down.

Wow good stuff LCP.

I wish you'd post that on the FV/CPA thread so maybe some people would understand why it ain't cool to tell a senior in his last game he needs to quit when the clock is still ticking.

Awesome picture.

From the first time you ever step on a football field your are taught to give 110% till the clock reads 00

Agreed that it was a great game. Agreed that both teams had their chances. Agreed that Westview pretty much dominated the game. Agreed that Lewis County came up big on goal line stand. Agreed that Lewis County never gave up as evidenced on halfback pass for incredible touchdown. Agreed both teams are well coached and players respected each other. It was a pleasure to watch. Disagree that LC player was down and wasn't a fumble. Just watched on Hudl and very clear that Westview's #10 stripped ball from LC running back before he was down and Westview recovered. Agreed refs blew this call. But agree that this is high school football and you never know what kind of calls you are going to or not going to get. It's just a shame it was this kind of call that directly impacts the outcome and doesn't reward the outstanding effort of the defense who made a play when it was needed. Hats off to Lewis County who also made a play when it needed. Great effort shown by #7 and his refusal to give up on the pass for a touchdown. Thank you Lewis County for being great hosts. You made us all feel welcomed. Good luck next week. We will be back next year. Maybe we'll meet again.

Agree on this post. WV has a lot of talent returning and will make it back to the playoffs next year.

found this picture, and wanted to share it with everyone. This is what's it's about. This is LCs quarterback, Brennan Holt and I'd like to say hats off to him as well as several others last night. This is sportsmanship at its finest. Hats off to both teams.

Here's a little back drop story about that Westview Charger....His name is Bo Guest and a few years back, his father died in a motorcycle accident. He has missed most of the regular season with a foot injury, and by us making the playoffs - it allowed him to finish his Senior season on the field. His father (Joey) used to be a sports writer in West Tennessee and he had also graduated from Westview back in the late 80's. His father would be proud of how he fought back from his adversity this year and helped the team get to where they were at. I was there---whether there were missed calls for both teams, but that happens every week. No excuses---you guys have a good team lead by a great coach and we wish you the best in your next matchup. This is the type of sportsmanship which should be exhibited every game. I saw several LC players consoling Westview and they were very complimentary to our guys about being by far the toughest opponent so far this season. Good luck from Martin and hope you guys make it to the championship.
