BeefyStew
Don't think fbboys. Many good names being thrown around. However this job is wide open for the most part. One front runner if he wants it but he is not RA. Everyone else better hope for interview and then better be impressive. Including RA. Work give us a hint or some info on some of the applicants
workinprogress
Three current Overton assistants, two current metro head coaches, three former metro head coaches, several current metro assistants, is what I am hearing. Along with several others. Not sure how many will get an interview but I do know there is only one clear cut favorite who has been mentioned but not by name. He would be a great choice and is a proven leader. Some on current staff will not be happy if they are not chosen so whomever is named better watch his back as if he were Caesar. After this one coach I think it's pretty open. There are some good candidates that could do well but all will have the same opportunity to get this job. HighLife
Tough shoes to fill in Coach Anderson.. Good luck to all the candidates.. I have an idea of 1 of the current metro coaches, not sure on the other. Maybe Antioch head coach, doesn't he have Overton ties?
workinprogress
Peden graduated from Overton. Not leaving Antioch as far as I know.
MidTennFootball
What does Overton have coming back in the way of returning starters?

So, Campbell, MacPhail, Crawford are current assistants. Gore and probably Murray (since he applies for every job) are current head coaches. Adeylott, Thompson, and maybe Bubba out of retirement are former Metro coaches. No current metro assistants at other schools have a chance anyway. workinprogress
Some are correct. Some not so much. Not so sure about your last statement either. As I have said one person is at the top all others are in the running if they impress during interview.
GameTime615
Who is this front runner you are speaking of... Initials or current situation
GameTime615
That was pretty good DR!!!! I was thinking the same with assistants as well as current coaches... Quite funny about Murry, cause that's true as well. But I thought of Maybe Broome. Adeylott , bubba and Law. Not Thompson now since he a principal. What about thigpin from Hillsboro as the assistants I don't think of any worth it as well So, Campbell, MacPhail, Crawford are current assistants. workinprogress
Plenty of good assistants in metro. Do they want to become a head coach at Overton? Maybe. Thigpen is not interested and is now a DC in Mississippi.
