wavo will win the first 5 or 6 but then they start playing good teams

let them have their time.. I look for them to upset one of the "good teams" this year. those first 5 will be like extended practice and build confidence. By the time the next 5 come around it will almost be like McConnells second season as head coach .They actually do have  a few athletes on the field this season.

they will not beat lewis, Camden or fairview my friend, maybe Hickman but I don't consider them being a good team this year

I really know nothing about Hickman or east but they were who I was speaking of.. I'm a wreck waiting on tomorrow night.. S.Gibson looks to be a quality opponent on film vs Trenton Peabody and a laughing stock on the other vs  Huntingdon.. wish Camden  had played tonight.

Fairview squeaks out of Cheatham County with a win tonight. Not bad for a very young ball club, but lots of work to do before next week.

Boy you ain't kidding about the young part. I don't know if I ever remember so many sophomores and freshman on the field. Several of them look to have a bright future though.

Yeh credit to Cheatham QB for keeping the ball in play when everyone else thought he was going down for a sack when he dumped it off to the tight end. The pass to the receiver was who got behind our DB's could have been avoided. Then the fumbled snap with the back ups in hurt us as well inside our own redzone. Overall I thought the run defense looked great!. Run offense looked great the first 3 quarters. Ate up a ton of clock. Fairview had a 27-7 lead with 6 min left in game. Just shows you gotta play to the whistle all 48 minutes. We will need to next week against Camden.

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
