Best of luck to Keith Hodge & his family. He & his brother have totally turned our program around in a few short years. We went from being everyone's homecoming game to playing in the state championship game. The boys that have played for them have had the upmost respect for both of them. They brought alot of excitement to our tiny town. We have the underclassman at Dresden to make for several more years of exciting football. I just hope the administration makes the right choice when hiring & takes in consideration what community members, Quarterback Club members & players want. GO LIONS!!

I'm guessing the administration won't make the obvious choice. I've talked with my school board member and he isn't found of the coach we need running the show. This could get interesting!!!!

Wonder why? Dresden will be fine. Maybe they will give Coach Gomes a chance. He gets a lot out of his players and Dresden has completely turned around over the last 4 years. I heard a rumor the Gleason coach may be interested.....don't know if it's true, but he's done a lot with a very small program.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
