F5seekshelter
Yes I am saying that. When you touch the ball every play, when the offense is centered around your success, when you are not pulled from games to pad stats I hope you get those credentials! Their is not one skill player on Upperman who would have started at Alcoa! Agreed!
oldsc7
Your history might be "better" with Rankin, whatever that means. But playing at Riverdale, playing being a ga at MTSU, I know him well and have discussed a lot of football with the man. As I did that night after the game.Well you are claiming you are best friends with the guy. I know his best friend, I know his brothers, I know his nieces, I know his wife and kids. I know his stories of when he got into a little trouble in high school and where it happened at, he is a long time family friend and grew up in my grandfathers backyard. I worked for the man at Alcoa he gave me my first job out of college. It came down to bring a GA at APSU or coaching with Gary Rankin at Alcoa I chose Alcoa. Those kids this year was the last set of freshmen I had when I was their. We had a RB that plays DB now at UT that could have broke and set every record in the state, but unlike your beloved Bees we didn't play for stats, we played to get our young guys and keep the train rolling and getting them experience on Friday nights cause they are the future of the program. That's what a real coach does, that's what a good coach does, you pull your starters when you have a big lead and the clock is running, you don't keep running the score up. But hey what do I know. Just an innocent by stander.
oldsc7
So if Wall from Alcoa played for Upperman you think he would have the same success. If so why?Baxter still would have went to the semi's. Wall can do everything York can, except Wall throws a better ball.

UpperCumberlandMan
Baxter still would have went to the semi's. Wall can do everything York can, except Wall throws a better ball. Wall was no were near as fast or shifty as York. Looked to me Eall was a little more accurate, York had a tad better ball on the move. Could have had simular results, both kids will probably play another position at the next level. Between the two if on same team, York qb/fs, Wall fb/mlb. Both good players, just diffrent. F5seekshelter
So if Wall from Alcoa played for Upperman you think he would have the same success. If so why? Had Wall been under coaching at UHS for 4 years, not so sure. However, had he transferred before this past season, he definitely would have had better coaching and much more experience than York. He would have also gotten much more playing time and with a staff that cares so much about individual records, I'm sure he would/could have been a beast in every category. Heck, he probably would have carried the team in most tackles at the LB position! Lol!
