The new head coach is Jerry Cooper from Lima, Ohio. Cooper is 235-77 in his 27 years of coaching. Is a former 3-time Ohio state coach of the year. Won state title in 2003.

2-8 or 3-7 at the very best. It'll take time for Cooper to build something out of that program.

Yep.  Sounds like Seymour may have come out better with this hire than they would have if one of the couple of guys who turned them down had accepted. 

 

Cooper certainly has a good resume.

Hopefully Cooper can turn the program around. I've seen a few Eagles teams in years past and saw potential in the players, but the coaching is a different story. The boys just need better guidance and people that know more about what they are doing and they will be just fine. Not any playoff games at first, but if they can buy into what Cooper brings to the table, I can see it in the near future.
