CaptLou
38-26 FR over Baylor. You have to figure a 9pt swing at minimum with Murphy back at 113. Should be very close at State Duals.
Sommers
I actually predict a closer match next time with McCallie, but still with FR on top
wrstlnman
Without Murphy & huge upset of Canada I wouldn't consider Simpson over Canada at 126 as a huge upset. Maybe Wesnofske over Powell at 132 who was beating him before he got pinned. Ryan came to wrestle and Baylor looked a little sluggish. The reffing was embarrassing. It'll be interesting to see this match in one month with 106, 112 (if Murphy), 132, and 152 being crucial swing matches.
mtnrasslin
I just read the write up on the Baylor/FR dual. Four stalling points at 152 to determine the match? I didn't see the match but that is very hard to imagine. I'm pretty sure that won't happen again.

Was someone else at 152?

According to the BB's article Sutherland wrestled. You're right- stalling ain't his deal.
Decoy76
In over 30 years in the sport I have never seen anything like the 152 lb match. Ref Carlos needs to let the wrestlers decide the outcome in the matches not him. Refs are suppose to control the match and protect the wrestlers. He has decided who wins last weekend and tonight to many times. Let the wrestlers determine the outcome not you Carlos. This is a wrestling fan very disappointed with Carlos' refereeing. He called stalling more times in the FR v Baylor match that I have ever seen in a dual match. The 152 lb match was #1 vs #2 and neither kid stalled once. There is a big difference between stalling and not creating unnecessary action that places you in bad position just to appease a ref. I watched it online but if I was there it would have been the last match I would have seen of the night because I would probably have been tossed out of the gym. He also called stalling way too many times in the heavy weight matches. As a ref - you cant demand the same action from HWTs that you do from 130 pounders. westernwrestler
Father Ryan wins this one by surprise. They came out ready to wrestle. Baylor did have a few starters out from what i have been told. Baylor still looking tough. I watched this match online and could not believe those stalling calls Sutherland is a tough wrestler and looked great but got screwed out of that win. Wheaties543
As the great Bruce Almighty says, "And thats the way the cookie crumbles." Match is over.
Sommers
Fine points? P.A. calling? Mike Craft or Donnie Elsie would gladly cone do a clinic. The thing that must be obvious is to avoid using the clock to your advantage. Front head locks and sprawls are perfect with rotation and clear effort toward position improvement

I doubt we will see a 2 point stalling call at the buzzer for a 6 point swing at 152 either. It will be a great match.
