Clarksville High & Clarksville-Northwest Coaching Openings

Clarksville was just a win away from being a playoff team last year and three of their losses were very close.  Northwest won one game last year and lacks the talent that the other schools in CMCSS have on their rosters.  Who lands these jobs and why?

Northwest will never be good until they get a new principal.

If CHS can get the right guy, they have enough there to build a solid program, assuming the guy gets the support he needs. I thought I read somewhere a while back that they were close to finding a coach, but I guess that was a rumor?

 

I don't know what to say about Northwest. It just seems like an absolute mess from over here.

I would say Clarksville is a much better job than Northwest.  Both teams have won in the past but Clarksville is "closer" to success than Northwest.

Clarksville high should be the most dominant program in the county. Northwest is basically a coaching graveyard.

I heard that some old faces from the area may have applied and try to return to the area (Clarksville job).

I thought that Northwest hired Bryan Johnson as it's principal?  He was a very good football coach who jumped into adminsitration at a very early age.  He has been pipelined into adm in fast track fashion.  If there is any principal in Clarksville who wants to succeed at sports..........it would be Johnson.

The problem at Northwest is a serious talent gap between what they have in the halls and what schools like Rossview, Kenwood, Northeast, and Clarksville have in the halls.  West Creek has good talent in their halls as well.

Kenwood connection to be named NW coach soon.

Vernon Wright has a Kenwood background.  Arrington, Lamb, Bauer, McCaslin, and Figeroua have all coached at Kenwood as well.  I'd feel pretty safe in saying Goltra is out of the question.
