I got to see Riverdale and Smyrna tonight. Fun game to watch. Alexa might be the most complete player I've ever seen personally at the high school level.

Thanks for coming GCPioneer!  Alexa had a great game for sure.  Tough game all the way to the end.  Looking forward to seeing her play for my Lady Vols next year.

Smyrna is going to be really good with that freshman post and those sophomore guards. They have the potential to be really good for the next few years. It's unreal how much talent there is in the Murfreesboro area when it comes to girls basketball. Much like Memphis on the men's side.

Student section member actually

The words were kind and shows the respect the kids at the schools have for each other. It appears many students and athletes as well as fans get along well between the Murfreesboro teams/schools.. At least it appears that way on the court. The game is played hard but it is left in the gym and they get along afterwards. Im sure many of these families have known each other a long time.

Lets see if Rutherford County can continue this run for a while before we make comparison's to Memphis boys basketball

Well, Rutherford Co. is obviously the hot spot for big time recruits and the best teams in the state in general. Smyrna would beat the best Triple A over here in west Tennessee by 25 and that's just the truth.

I have heard thru AAU coaches and HS coaches that the Memphis area is down this year.

Memphis area is down this year. I don't know who the front runner is in AAA now that Craigmont is in AA this year. Dyer Co. seems to be the best AAA team around here this year, but like I said, I think that Smyrna team is 20-25 points better than Dyer Co. AAA in the west is way down this year. Memphis Central is not what they usually are. Coach Bray has left there so Central might not be heard of again on the girls side for a long time to come.

    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
