champstrain1
Ask your buddy Sommers since you have such a difficult time with reading comprehension. The record shows that the Blackman folks have always had a hard time understanding the rules. Ha Ha that's what I thought. mat73557
Lol champs. You are making a fool of yourself. I am Matt Sells. If you want to talk about Blackman, find me at the state tournament and ill be glad to fill you in. Sounds like you are a McCallie parent who is upset about the results of the dual. What's your name? You brought up the penalty for filming. Not me. I am just curious if there is one. I don't think there is.
Sommers
I know The McCallie School folks are embarrassed over this poor sportsmanship. But they can be proud of this fine effort last night. I predicted a McCallie win but I also expected more bonus points in two or three lower weights that would have kept The Blue over The Red by 1 pt, even with the (big red, with the far reaching single) win I expected at 220. Congrats to both teams for a hard fought battle.... We as Tennesseans should All be proud of this long standing tradition! Absolutely worthy of The Press, Coacht, You Tube & FB coverage... Heck, Chanels 3,9 & 12 should have been there! Edited January 26, 2014 by Sommers

RedRobin1
So what's the penalty? Both McCallie and Baylor are disqualified from the state duals as well as from the state individual tournament.

Here's a video clip I just found that nobody would be in trouble for except it's quality... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EOMrU35Vu0 Sorry bout that, got caught into the action Edited January 26, 2014 by Sommers
Sommers
Here's something I received from one of my new FB friends that found some of last night's clips helpful... "Last night was crazy! I'm so glad I found your link. My family lives out of town and they were not able to watch online so I shared that video. I love how it captured the crowd for both teams. The energy was amazing. I know there will always be haters and nay sayers. (That last match)(one) was aggressive and was looking for a shot the whole time. I don't totally understand the "fleeing the mat" call, and as stated in the paper, he would have preferred the take down. But I think that call fit the NCAA definition. According to the NCAA rule book: "5.14 Fleeing Wrestling Area Fleeing or attempting to flee the wrestling area, or forcing, or attempting to force an opponent out of the wrestling area as a means of avoiding being scored upon, is a technical violation. Both wrestlers should make every effort to remain in bounds. Fleeing occurs any time a wrestler avoids wrestling by intentionally going or trying to go out of bounds, by pulling or attempting to pull the opponent out of bounds or by pushing or attempting to push the opponent out of bounds. Fleeing the wrestling area shall not follow the disqualification sequence. (one) definitely did try to keep (the other) in bounds. (one) was stretched with his toes still in. But we have been on the other side of these type of calls so I can see why people are upset. Unfortunately not everyone ends up happy at the end of a sporting event. I just wanted to thank you for the video posted, your input on CoactT, and like the refs...not everyone will like what you have to say but that's the beauty of this country...you get to say it!" Not knowing this person meant something to me, and I will gladly add good sports to my friends/connections, whatever anytime. Again, it's about the boys and our great sport ! BuckLateral
So what's the penalty? Mat---as I recall, long-time EFT fan Bear Cat Brown had to serve 90 days in Brushy Mountain State Prison when he had the audacity to take a video camera into the Cleveland-Bradley match back in 2007 to tape the match, though I am not sure if that was the result of his taping of the match or the altercation that followed when security personnel went into the stands, confiscated the tape, and escorted BCB from the gym. That incident was a much discussed topic on this board at the time, and, as I further recall, was bumped back up by Star Raider several years afterwards for instructional purposes for any dads who might have received a video camera as a Christmas present. If you can find it, that topic--I believe BCB started it and addressed it to his Uncle Ronnie Carter--- and the numerous posts under it might be of some help since it was a similar situation, i.e. wrestling fan with no dog in the hunt tapes match between two teams with which he has no affiliation. Or maybe you can convince BCB to come out of hiding and shed some light on what punishment he received...............
