Bowling Green SCARED of Blackman

Kreager tweeted out that BG has sent a check to Blackman backing out of their return game this year, giving no explanation.  Well, it's obvious what that explanation would be and they don't want to say it publically.  That is they do not want to risk their  win streak. 

 

I guess they now have to change their name from the "Purples" to they "Yellow's" because that is what they are.

 

I hope they release the amount of the check they sent.

Cowardly on their part after the garbage that happened at their place last year.  They didn't want to drive down here and take what was coming to them.  After seeing their integrity level last year, I am not surprised.

  I'm a former KHSAA football official. This was a terrible display of fair play and character by those involved. Not surprised that BG had not the guts nor courage to honor their prior committment. What goes around, comes around, eventually. Well played "Purple Nation", you embarrassed an entire town with this action.

  Wallace is a bully, and tries to intimidate officials, with threats of black lining them from future games. Call it his way, or never call a game at BG again. Just the way it is.

  Now he's caught manipulating, even indirectly, a result, and he runs away like the bully that just got punched in the face. What a great example of leadership for our future young men. Wuss.

  Not a fan of either school, but I did watch the video of last years game and the Kentucky officials gave themselves a big black eye.....complete lack of character and integrity. Now BG makes Kentucky look even worse by breaking their contract and running scared from the game this year....just take your butt whipping like a big boy and go on back up to Kentucky and then you never have to play another team from Tennessee again. If I had anything to do with it, those officials would NEVER officiate another game, a man that will use his authority against a 15, 16, 17 year old kid is about the lowest form of human that exists.

Based on how the whole thing went down last year, I would expect nothing less. That night will be probably go down as the most bazar night I have ever experienced in my life. It will rank with the Saturday Night at the Summer National's at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green back in 1981 when a riot pretty much broke out with burning vehicles, sexual assaults and a couple shootings.

 

Wait, I just realized there is a common theme here......note to self cancel trips to Bowling Green!

I was thinking of a name change that begins with the same first two letters...and it's not "punks". Let's just say that nickname in the Russian music world would be considered a "riot".

Why don't you try to make lemonade out of lemons and have your AD call Ricky Bowers at Ensworth to see if you can substitute the Tigers for this Bowling Green team if you need another game this season.  As far as I know, Ensworth has only nine games at this point and has September 5 and October 17 open.  They have had some great games against the Rutherford County teams in the recent past and I am sure they would welcome the competition if it can be worked out.  

 

The players are the ones that wear the team colors, not the administration - I doubt that the Bowling Green kids had anything to do with this decision, so they are still the "Purples" as far as I am concerned.  Good luck this season - hope you can work something out with Ensworth!
