How Did Goodpasture Drop to Single A?

Using simple math if you double or triple the schools in D2, then you double or triple the financial aid available for kids playing sports.

The kids will come from somewhere. I somewhat agree with the poster about small rural schools, but rumor is that 1 or 2 Nashville schools are seriously considering adding a dorm for boarding students (football and basketball players). Once this happens even rural schools are not untouchable.

The boarding schools thing would open a whole new can of worms.

Yes, the private schools have an unfair advantage by being able to recruit and bring in players from the larger cities instead of their neighborhood or local community.  And then you have a school like Goodpasture; 7 seniors, ranked #1, only 1 loss and probably will win the state championship who still decide to go to Clay County and illegally film the Clay County and Clarkrange game.  If they cheat in this way, it makes you wonder how many more ways they cheat.  Oh yeah, I've got the pictures if you want to see them and they were sent to the TSSAA.

Well, let's see them.

Yeah, if we can see those that would be great. Also, if you could include some photos of Ferris passing out at 31 Flavors that would be even better. I hear it's serious.

there's another possible split.

that is privates not going to div. II but leaving the TSSAA and forming

their own organization.

then they choose the rules for financial aid and recruiting

be careful what you ask for

So they'd forget any ethics and recruit just because they were no longer supervised? Great message that would send.

Forget any ethics? Most people assume private schools recruit anyways. Not sure what the difference would be. Other than publics wouldn't have to play us, which is what everyone has wanted all along.

    • Well personally I see us going 9-1 so that isn't doom and gloom to me , Most people are thinking 6-4. Bearden will be the possible loss but hoping not. I was very impressed with what I saw this spring.
    • the kid you are speaking about, played in JV games,  2H half Science Hill game, split time in Hardin Valley and Bearden and that was it.   The upcoming Senior RB was All Region as a Junior and is regarded by the media as one of the top running backs in East TN for 2024 season. Scouting services have him as a top 10 back in the state.  Something aint adding up with gloom and doom. Maybe he was hurt and not at spring practice when you watched?
    • It won't be long now, he gone.
    • Are you kidding me?  You are just trolling now.  The new head coach's qualifications would be volunteer coach at the Oak Ridge Boys Club?  C'mon man, you can't be serious.  You're trolling us.  Anybody working at Clinton High School has to be like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs at this point.  They are coming after anybody and everybody that had knowledge of what was going on.  This is about to get real ugly.  Only in Clinton.
    • So no way they can compete with the likes of McCallie or Baylor still then
