well who would you put up there? Even if you disagree about the other two you gotta agree that reese mcmahan and Burstrom deserve spots.

Red Rebels and I would agree that Meathead...err, Tony Robinson was the first "great" player that WB ever had and a first ballot HOF'er at Alnwick. Led them to some big wins in the early days of the program. Junior Tillet could be another.

The unfortunate part of being a great player at the county schools, is that, in the past anyway, those guys were just not college material if you know what I mean.

Other names just to toss out there,

Rusty Holmes, Chris Whitehead, Scott Satterfield, Mike White, Jr.,.......

WB is hard. I wish I had a list of All Blount County players. That is where I would start. But even then, there might be some that don't make that list, because of a loaded position at another school (even though they might be the best player on their team). I played with a Vol letterman, but he wasn't the best athlete on the team. The GOVMAN has done a lot for all sports at WB, but I don't think he is in the top 4. He could give us some names though. 91 is ignoring about 20 years of players.

WB has had good individual players throughout its history, like any team... But..... How many of those good players actually won football games? Like Lane Bloom, great player! But the teams he played on didn't win... If you are picking the top players of all time ,especially at a school like WB, you have to pick the guys who had the biggest impact on winning games.and Tyler Burtstrom and Mcmahan were guys who had big impact on winning games.... If you take Mcmahan off of the 2001 WB team do they upset Dobyns Bennett? No... And if you take Burstrom off of the 07 team do they still have the best team in school history? No

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching stuff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching stuff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
