I can see Blackman v Hendersonville, with Blackman probably winning thats what I am thinking right now!

Either way, I think this is the year that Maryville's string of State Titles comes to an end!

Remember when the Boston Celtics won 10 straight NBA Titles and that came to an end!

Its been like 10 in a row seems like, but if they go to the semis, they will have to be on the road this time.

With more Parody and Unpredictability, I think Maryville gets Dethroned this year and their streak of state Titles snapped!

New Rankings

1-Hendersonville*X

2-Mount Juliet*X

3-Wilson Central*X

4-Beech*

5-Station Camp*X

6-Gallatin

7-Lebanon

8-Portland

*Playoff Team/x-Threat to win state

Please tell me you don't really believe this nonsense you spew...

They are now on their third string qb, and both RB's went out of the game. The two best players that they have hands down. And they both play defense as well. A number of sophomores are now playing for them. Not too much luck with the injury bug this year. If they don't come back soon it won't be pretty.

Seems like the injury bug has found a home in Sumner County this year.

To be honest with you me and my son stayed home last night. He was exhausted from his practice (Big game coming up against Rucker Middle with several of our key players out) and I didn't get off of work until 1800. With the reclassification coming I might not ever have to sit on the visitors side in MJ. Hopefully at some point I can go catch a game or two at MJ this year. Good luck to your son and the rest of the Bears.

Thanks ! And good luck to your son and his team.

Hendersonville has a legitimate chance. Beech has a remote chance (much like in 09). With all due respect to MJ, SC and WC, no one else has a chance. Edited by tandem

How in the world did Beech lose to HC? It looks as though the top 3 are starting to separate from the rest of the pack. On a bad side note... all student sections can thank Beech for not being able to bring anything but themselves in from now on. It was very sad to see that. I expected much better from those kids.

Because of HC's defense and depth. But, I did come away from that game impressed with Beech.

Nonetheless, I was surprised when I saw the final score of the Beech/Gallatin game. I was expecting the Green Wave to make a good bit of noise this season after last year's surprising run. Hopefully they can heal up a bit in the coming weeks.

Henry County was special defensively. Beech was kind of bland offensively and I think that was partially by design. To play for a state championship in 5A I think those two teams play each other again. A lot of mistakes in the first half of that meeting (HC had three possessions start inside the Beech 5 yard line). I believe Beech is much better than people think. Not being disrespectful to anyone, but I think 9AAA is a two team race.

I can see that as well.

    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
