How in the world did Beech lose to HC? It looks as though the top 3 are starting to separate from the rest of the pack. On a bad side note... all student sections can thank Beech for not being able to bring anything but themselves in from now on. It was very sad to see that. I expected much better from those kids.

What happened concerning the students?

Hope the kid from Portland last night is ok.

Thanks WCP, he is home from the hospital. Coach Cav stayed there with him for quite a while. His Mom is away in California for a death in the family. His older brother is a Senior and #4. Apparently he was suffering from heat exhaustion, severe dehydration, and low blood sugar. Thanks to your school and all the help they provided our trainer. They had ice there, it seemed as soon as he asked for it. Even though we couldnt compete with WC's speed and size, we still made an improvement this week. Our first multiple touchdown game this year. Love yalls facility. Here is a link to my flckr page, I took a little over 1000 photos Friday night. Please pass them on to any WC player or their parents. https://www.flickr.com/photos/51526542@N02/sets/72157647300582992/

All Hville can do is continue to work hard and improve each week. Need to cut out the penalties, improve kick coverage, get a better push from the O line in the running game and get some of our injured players healthy. Brentwood definitely has our attention after taking Centennial to OT Friday night. All we can do is focus on what we can control. Can't control what the opponents on our schedule do when not playing us.

I will say it again and no offense to Mt Juliet but Hendersonville and Beech are my 1 and 2 in this district and MJ is a close 3rd. Just my opinion because I feel MJ is more of a finesse team and Hendersonville and Beech are more smash mouth. I could be wrong but that is I feel right now.

For sure the top 3, even though we were beaten soundly by WC, they still have several weak spots that more experienced teams will take advantage of.  But they are big and fast. But as Coach Cav told the kids, "boys, it only gets faster"...amen to that.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
