re: Bone, counted 9-10 boards in the first half alone against a very athletic LA squad. Crashes the boards with authority. Impressed with Eldridge. All these boys are either the benefactors or in some cases can find their skill set rendered less effective because of the particular circumstances they find themselves in. Its clear which players have either been gifted athletically and/or have put in the effort to develop their skill set. Several very good players throughout the District, only 2 elite caliber Teams in the District.

lynus need to call and see if we can play boyd again

I'm still going with LA although it might be a bit tougher now that Qualls is out. Heard he broke his foot. Looks like Hayes will see some starts if that's the case. They've been playing some decent ball lately.

Don't know who you heard that from. He is a good player and we are proud to have him but no DC fans have said that. Eldridge is far and away the best in the district and Reuhlan at CC is the next and Blevins is right there.

That being said if you are an LA fan I will say that he has REALLY struggled against you guys. (Major credit to your D as well.)

Colton Blevins of York Institute is By Far and Away the Best Player in that District and also the Best Player in Middle Tennessee...2nd Best PLayer in that region is the Guard for Celina...Both of those are Legit Prospect that can get to the rim, turn the corner, get space off the bounce, create their own shot and both defend pretty well...All those characteristics are a must at the D1 level...Players that rely on other players to get them open/spot up shooters, are a liability at the collegiate level, especially D1....But Eldridge is a Beast in that district and a heck of a High School Player...Best of Luck to ALL the Hoopers throughout the State

I would agree that Blevins is a better prospect but Eldridge is just a proven winner. Yes some of it is just being surrounded by better talent, but still...

Eldridge is a man among boys in this district.

    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
