You have waaaaaayyyyyy too much confidence for a team that hasn't won a single game yet and not only that, but haven't even been impressive in losing, 91.

We have played 3 games against teams that might all make the playoffs. And in two of those games we shot ourselves in the foot over and over again and against Hardin valley our best player didn't play over half the game. Heritage has beaten 2 teams that are bad, and that's putting it nicely. Seymour got beat by Cocke County last week, if that tell's you anything. If you know anything about this series you know that WB always finds a way to win this game. And they will be especially desperate and hungry for a win and Heritage will be cocky. You better believe the Govs will come out ticked off and ready to play. Oh,,, and the last couple of times heritage was cocky they got killed by us. Anybody remember those black jerseys heritage wore in '11? And how WB beat them 49-2? As I said until Heritage proves they can beat us it is foolish to pick them. They couldn't get it done in '09 with a home crowd when they were undefeated and had a division 1 athlete. I have no reason to believe it will be any different this year. Prove it to me :popcorneater: Edited by Governors91

I think WB is the team that will have no problem being up for this game. They have faced 3 quality teams and heritage has beaten two cupcakes. Heritage will be cocky like they have always been and they will get beat.

Knowing what I know about coach Hammontree, his kids will have flushed tonight by the time they hit the practice field on Monday. The previous coaching staff allowed the '09 team to be cocky and the D-1 athlete you reference was not utilized to allow that team to capitalize on his talent and playmaking ability. I do not expect a blowout, but do expect the Mountaineers to win. Maybe then they might garner the respect they have worked so hard to earn since day one of the Hammontree era.

Heritage may have played some cupcakes, but they have taken care of business in those games like a quality team should. The heritage teams of the past wouldn't have done that. They aren't world beaters by any means, but they have improved a lot. No denying it.

    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
