the qb still reads the de in the veer. you can run option out of any formation

true his first read is the DT then the DE in the veer and it also has some qualities of the wing and double wing when you want to or need to get tricky

the read option is run out of the shotgun with 1 or 2  TEs or  with out  one at all ,2 backs not including the qb or one back .......5 WR  sets some times called the spread  it can also be run out of the pistol formation...3 yard  shotgun with a back behind  like a combo of the I formation and shotgun  minus the FB   Then Camden just might show up and run the good ole Wing T or double wing..  I cant wait because its always a great game bunch of  good coaches and good athletes

Thanks you, yes. Huntingdon is very young at the skill positions mostly sophomores and the lineman are mostly jrs. They've played two very good undefeated teams very tough. With youth comes mistakes. Some nights will look great and other nights they will go backwards. Once they turn the corner though you better hang on, it gonna be wild. These kids are already battle tested. Per season tca, south Gibson and Lexington. Then union city and Martin. That corner could be this Friday night!!

Definitely throwing them into the fire...smart move on the coaches part

This is a big night for the Blow family. Huntingdon is going to see what they missed in not giving Blow a chance over there. They are also going to see what a fine quarterback his son has become. People sometimes just need a fair chance to show what they can do. The Camden Lions have a fine coach, and he and his staff have taken a group of young men that didn't have a chance in junior high and turned them into winners. This is one of my favorite Lion teams Camden has had in several years. I think they will go deep into the playoffs, barring no major injuries or flukes. I also think Will Blow will light up the scoreboard for the Carroll County Grand Champions if he gets a chance.

I'm not going to bash Swenson, (He's getting better and I think he's a ok coach just not a good one).  I just wanted you to know I agree with you 100% bout Blow getting a chance.  I also agree bout his son being a good quarterback very talented kid.

I am going to pick Huntingdon in a close one maybe by 2 like someone else said lol, we got to play 4 quarters though and ESPECIALLY not be fumbling this week.  Can't wait for this barn burner of a game win or lose, but gosh we really need to win or its going to be looking like we will be on road the whole playoffs lol

I would say much more than an ok coach. Our talent level here was way down when he came back. No more Donalds, bells, or weathers. No more Gordons, Tates, or Jamisons. We've manipulated offense and defense with lesser talent. Lower numbers  in our school system and playing the best in higher classifications. Got us to a state championship on what everyone thought would be a disaster year. Yes, you have bashed but you would be better served sticking to writing those moronic "scripts" about games. Its Jimmys and Joes not x's and o's.

Been hearing that #11 Johnson got shook up a little bit on a hit he took Friday night. Anyone know if there is any truth to that, because I never saw him limping or favoring anything towards the end of the game??

Saw that looked painful when it happened...stopped dead in his tracks...

JV Game tonight(Monday) 6:30 @Huntingdon no idea how goos it will be   lots of Sophomores play for both Varsity squads...watching football is never frowned upon by me though..

Coaching changes are rough and brutal. Each coach is different.Camden was used to Ward and his Marine corp, drill seargeant football teams with 45 players and little mistakes. He made a lot of good kids quit.Blow dresses out 80 plus and is more laid back and has a few knuckle head penaltys that will drive you nuts from time to time but startin to buy into it now.Im sure Mansfield to Swenson was the same way from a Huntingdon stand point.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
