District 11A and 12A ..

Wayne County has all their main players healthy.

Linden girls played amazing defense tonight. They didn't light up the scoreboard but the defense proved too much for Summertown. I believe from what i saw online a minute ago was Linden won the first quarter, 14-0, second quarter, 6-4, third quarter, 12-0, and fourth quarter they lost 12-2. Final was 34-16.

There are some big games tomorrow night: 

 

Linden (6-0) vs. Collinwood (2-4)

 

Summertown (1-5) vs. Waynesboro (4-2)

 

Clifton (2-4) vs. Loretto (3-3)

Clifton seems to be putting things together a little bit. Consecutive wins over Summertown and Wayne County. Can they keep it up? Perry County is definitely the team to beat right now-can they keep it up through tournaments? How bad do the Loretto girls want to get back to the glass house--they have looked really good at times recently. The youth of Summertown is playing a huge factor-they have a great future for sure. Can Collinwood duplicate their effort against Houston County and make a run? Interesting times in 12-A. Not much to brag about from 11-A.

Looks like 11a regular season will come down to Sante Fe and Richland. They play Thursday night and are currently tied with 1 loss each. The tournament should be a good one. I see Richland,Sante Fe,Mt. Pleasant and either Columbia Academy or Cornersville advancing to the region. The question will be can any of the 11a teams pull any upsets in the region not sure, but time will tell.

The only team that will pull any wins at the region will be Santa Fe...Ive seen Richland play and if they are tied for first in that district, 11A might as well stay home.

Perry County wins 41-38 in OT. Perry County was down by 6 with 36 secs left to play in regulation. Crazy comeback.

Yes 11A is very young this year. In fact at least 5 teams could win the tourny. I believe that 12A is superior without a doubt but this is the best chance in quite sometime for 11A to get into the Region 6 finals. 12A has the players no doubt but look at the yo-yo year almost all have had.
