Redrage, Ramer is a feeder school for MCHS. Oddly, Adamsville may have more Ramer players starting than MCHS. How did that happen???

I do not think Coach Hodge will be at church in Adamsville on Sunday introducing himself as coach of the Bobcats.

Ramer is not a feeder school for McNairy, it's a junior high school in the county along with Michie & Bethel. The parents make the decision where to send their kids not you!! What makes you think you have the right to tell a parent where they can & can't send their kids to school? Do you pay the costs to raise their children? I didn't think so, so where do you get off thinking you should have a say about someone else's life decisions? Grow up! McNairy has 90 kids on their sideline now & you guys can't put 11 together that can score!! BTW, how did the McNairy baseball coach introduce himself when he was recruiting his baseball players from Hardeman County(Bolivar)?

if you live in Ramer, You have to drive by Mcnairy to get to adamsville.  Surely you can acknowledge the huge advantage Adamsville has by getting Football Players from all over the county.  Or are you like the Union City folks that pretend they are just a little ol single A school doing things the right way.  You both know the advantages you exploit and yet you both will complain about private schools that recruit.  If NCS beats Adamsville or Union city this year they will cry all the way back to west tn about how NCS recruits.  Private School recruiting is no different than open zone recruiting.

Yep,reckon so. Nearly all the highly successful schools have a few built in advantages. Its just a matter of manipulating the rules set forth.

BigDanTeague knows a lot more about 1A and 2A football goings on that you folks will ever realize.  It's some crooked programs out there Dan, you keep fighting the fight.

The thing that will fix all this is; McNairy and Obion county will have to start winning games, this will keep the kids at home wanting to play for schools in their areas. Personally, I think McNairy will turn around in a few years with their new coach (yes I'm a huge fan of both Hodge brothers and the ejections associated with). Until Obion stops all the parent intervention (for lack of a better term) kids will go to Union City just like they will go to Adamsville. I don't blame kids and parents for wanting their kids to play for a winning program and also get a quality education. I also enjoy messing with Adamsville fans because they are good people. Just like ole slingblade Doyle.........

Once again I will say that It is the choice of the parent and student to choose! Open zones are set by the county as a whole ! As far as you knowing a lot about 2a , uhh NCS will never beat Aville cause they will never play ! I promise you this program was built the right way ! Winning make the choice easy ! With 90 kids on roster Mcnairy has the kids ! They just mad cause the talented ones are going to little brother ! If yall win more than 2 games you might get some talent ! Even our jr pro spanks yall ! Yall gotta get better !! One day !

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
