In regards to #24. When another team has hurt your QB your defense is going to be fighting mad and trying to punish the opposing team's QB. Then when you do what maryville did you are just kicking the hornet's nest. You figure they would have learned that lesson way back in '06 after they brought out the wrath of pete evans of WB by pulling that same stunt but I guess not. There are some things you just do out of respect, kneeling when a player is injured is one of those things. You guys all know our players would have kneeled had maryville's qb gone down with an injury.

OMG are we gonna relive the dreaded "TAKE A KNEE" gate???? Sheesh, that is sooooo last decade

That is a load of crap. Dirty 24 was hitting the first team QB late, the second team QB late the third team QB late (who said something to Dirty 24) on and on and on. MHS would be running in the end zone and he was back trying to hit the QB.

I think that is what gov91 was talking about when he said they were " waiting in the weeds" for Maryville....that translate to mean dirty play at WB???? I'm guessing some of them must have fallen asleep in the weeds though LOL Edited by Jetjock

I am sure MHS was scared to kneel due to WB hiding in the weeds waiting for us all week. Why would we show a sign of submission and weakness? Help us with where taking a knee originated and for what purpose. I find it ironic that you post all the things you do 91 and hold the position you feel so strongly about.

Go REBELS!!!

It's not a "stunt." If Maryville's QB had gone down with an injury, they wouldn't be kneeling then either.

I just watched the video of the WB qb's injury. #77 for maryville pressured him out of the pocket, wrapped him up around the waist and 77s body came down on his leg. Unfortunate injury, I hope the young man has a speedy recovery.

It was obviously WBs plan to hit the QB after every handoff. This was done by more than 1 player against every one of our QBs. It's legal if it is after a play fake but several were so late that it should have drawn a flag.

Just curious which starters did not play for WB? Why did a Fair not start but played late into the game?

Good job tonight by Govman. I may bring my dictionary the next time I go to a WB home game to look up a few of those words he was throwing out.

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
