dctiger
DC beats SC 56-48. Gives up an 18 point halftime lead however. Smith showed lots of heart playing without Hackett.

Yeah they didn't roll over the second half against LA either. They are still a scrappy team without her.
dctiger
Just saw where DeKalb Middle and Macon County are playing in the championship game of the James C. Haile State Tournament tonight. Cornerstone was also a semi finalist. Looks like a bright future ahead for 8-AA as well. I'm sure some of the Overton County teams are in the other divisions as well but I just skimmed over the brackets. Edit: Looks like the only other "8-AA" finalist is South Fentress. And I don't say things like that very often.

Defeated girls won at Cornerstone. I think they are 20-0.

Did I overlook them because it's entirely possible lol...

UpperCumberlandMan
Thing is this with Upperman and LA. LA gets kids jr from Hilham,Allens,Ruckman,Livingston, and Wilson. Upperman gets 75% from cornerstone put pulls the rest from Algood, Prescott, and Avery Trace. Hard for other schools to compete with that. I bet a college girs bball player has come from all 5 jr highs in Overton County in the last 20 years.
