I really don't think they will for the simple reason of time zones but you never know with the TSSAA. I think York belongs where I have them.

 

 

No inside connection at all. I just use the criteria set by the TSSAA and out the information out there. Since the TSSAA does a terrible job of informing all those involved I thought I would. It is not opinion but based on facts.

Thanks for taking the time to help us understand be able to see what's happening with play off picture and the redistricting. I'm hoping your right on the regions. Id like to see some of the upper cumberland games stay region games it makes them even more exciting. Edited by YAIDAD

Grundy County & Sequatchie County would be in Region 3 with the Chattanooga teams and you will see McMinn Central in Region 2. I'm hearing Loudon will go to 4A if Alcoa comes to 3A

I am hearing the opposite about those teams because of time zone issues.

 

I don't see how teams are waiting to see what others do, if I am Alcoa I am waiting to the last minute to send in any request.

What is the point in putting teams in classifications when teams can chose to play up to avoid playing certain teams? I think you should have to stay in your classification no matter what. That keeps the number of teams more even. I know sometimes that might benefit or hurt teams due to tougher or easier regions but just think that is the fairest way to do it instead of letting schools move

Do you think all Region 7 teams would play full district schedules? Those are some LONG drives!

Those aren't that long of a drive.  Henry County drives over an hour to every game they play away from home.  Sometimes going to Memphis out of district.  To Clarksville every week is 1 1/2 hour drive.  Jackson isn't but 20 minutes from Milan, South Gibson, etc....

First, I don't think the TSSAA realize the kind of mess they have gotten themselves in. Redistricting will not be an easy task because teams are so spread out. If I was in charge of the TSSAA this is the districts I would suggest. Some things you will notice is that districts will not be even. This could change if some teams elect to move up. If you have any suggestions please share, these are just my opinions.

If the TSSAA were to put me in charge this is how I would projected out the districts now that teams have declared where they are moving.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
