I'm not trying to change the subject away from the game, but can any of you OR fans give a little inside info on what type of player/person sophomore Tee Higgins is? I love seeing local boys get that UT offer early. I heard he really liked UGA.

Great kid. Quiet and humble, yet very confident in his abilities. A yes sir no sir type kid and also a very good student. High character. As a player he is a tall rangy athletic kid with really good speed who can go up and get the ball if need be (can easily dunk a basketball). I personally think he could be an amazing Safety also, but we haven't used him much on defense really and haven't needed to. One thing that goes overlooked on him if his ability to block. If he isn't catching the ball he can impact the run game with his great blocking ability at wideout. Will be an extremely great pickup for whoever he chooses to play for. Not just because of his skills, but he is just a great great kid.

vul, I didn't say it was great.  But go to tssaa regional standings and see if you can find another district anywhere that has 6 teams 500 or better.  There's not one.

You're right. The strength of schedule goes like this.......out of 114 teams Rhea County has the 114th weakest schedule, West is 109, Hillsboro is 106, OR is 104, South Doyle is 102, and Ooltewah is 97. My point is that the top teams all have weak districts through no fault of their own.

Thanks, the good folks over on Vol Nation believe he is about to completely blow up and start receiving a ton of high level offers.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
