Blackman at Hoover

Blaze supporters the Local sports prep writer in Alabama is predicting Hoover wins by 2 TDs easily, exactly the same predictions he made before the Miami Central and Colquitt County Ga defeats. I dont think he personally believes it but he would probably get a ton of nasty emails if he picks against them.

Ironically the Murfreesboro DNJ writer also picking Hoover but by more. Guess we know who wants to sell papers...

Hoover, the top-ranked team in Alabama’s Class 7A, hasn’t lost since dropping the first two games of the season. The Bucs, which entered the year having won 30 straight, has plenty of future SEC talent on its roster. Blackman will have to play its best game of the season. QB Jauan Jennings and RB Charlie Davidson could keep things interesting if they can get through the Bucs’ defensive line.

Hoover, 42, Blackman 21

Blaze45,

This years Hoover squad has been overrated from the get-go.  The writers try to paint the picture of dominance with the talk about 30 or 37 game win streaks depending how they spin it but this years team is 7-2, 0-2 with comparable talent and 7-0 vs overmatched opponents. Blackman is 9-0 and of comparable talent, as far as this so called ton of SEC recruits is a complete myth, they have a some recruits but have no real SEC impact players and the closest they ever had was Chad Jackson in 2001.   Jennings without a doubt is the best QB they have seen and #24 will be the most physical RB they have played against.  The key will be If Blackman OL blocks well and commits to running the ball because Hoover wants their opponent to pass so they can rush and not get worn down, even if not if they stuff Hoover's ground game and force them to pass Hoover loses and just might get embarrassed.

Gooooood stuff. we are holding strong that Blackman wins, just find it a bit odd that the sports writer  that has covered this team all season jumps ship. You know what the say though" what smells- sells!"

Nope... called the WB station in BAMA and they will not stream it... which stinks. Something about not having permission to by Hoover. Makes me suspect why they wouldn't.

Im not shocked nor suprised.  Hoover is very funny in that way, dang near cultish.  When they believe they will dominate they'd want it on ESPN or any TV for all to see (ironically they only scheduled Miami Central because they thought they were in a down year because they were aware their whole All American offense graduated, now if Miami Central offered them 1 million for a rematch play again in 2015 they'd turn it down LOL).   Their former coach Colquitt Co Rush Propst knows how they operated and he only wanted a Home and Home which he got.

The same is with you all at Blackman if you all whip'em and say "Hey come up to Murfreesboro in 2015 or 2016 at our house to return the favor"  They go Nahhh thanks but no thanks however if they anticipate having a very good squad on paper in 2020 and you all are down, they'd try real quick to finalize that paperwork in 2018 thats how they operate.

Every team has Hudl right? You can go to EVERY team's Hudl in the nation without signing in and view team or individual Hudl highlights but guess which one you cannot.

However only being 1 of 2 Highschools in the entire city their attendance is not very good, so they are trying to have a "BLACKOUT" and a Halloween theme to draw a crowd could be another reason they dont want it televised.

Sorry if I was misleading... they will televise it but only locally...they will not stream it as they have other games.
