Why is it odd? There are always things to talk about. All it takes is for someone to start a thread. In all honesty I find it odd that so many teams don't even have any fans starting threads to talk about their teams. I facilitate most of the discussions revolving around WB football on here by starting the threads. If I didn't start the threads nobody else would.

I don't get it do u even believe ur own posts when u throw out the Maryville resume! Let me feed ur egos, everyone who knows anything about football in Tn. knows Maryville is the team they want to aspire too! Govenors91, I think the point was just verified by you ,yourself. His statement was regarding that schools with fewer students, a season recors tha has a few blemishes more than others, yet the interest (support) seems to be greater than schools with better records . bigger student body. You would think the amount of support would follow suit. We are not digging at you for supporting rather finding humor that the threads from some bigger schools seem to generate little talk

The portrayal of B Miles was extremely accurate. Some of the footage of those crazy moves was actual footage of him. If I remember they bused most games. alot of games are 3-4 hours away in west Texas. I believe the only flight they took to a game was the state championship. As i recall the police escort was juts to the airport 20 miles or so away.  

Yeah after I posted that I was thinking the airplane ride might of been the playoffs. Great book though and interesting stuff for a high school football fan. Thanks

If you get the chance there is a video that Boobie and some of his friends put up on youtube."Boobie tells the truth 1&2" He talks about getting rezoned for Permian,life in his foster home and step mom. He talks a little about getting paid. There was always whispers about it, as well as recruiting, by offering special prices on homes(rent) in certain areas as well as great jobs being offered to some unqualified folks. I can't say that happened, but I wouldn't deny that either.
