Jackson Co defense is a lot better than anyone on here is giving credit for.  These boys play hard and physical.  This game will not be the "blowout" everyone is claiming.  I do not see the Marion Co. defense just shutting out this teams offense either.  This will be another weak of smash mouth football, nothing cute. 

 

I think JCHS pulls off the upset in a close game.   Not going to predict the score cause it could go high or low.

First home playoff game since '81?  Really?  Even during the Westmoreland years?  Maybe old age is setting in....wasn't Westmoreland there after '81?   Never mind.  I just went back and re-read it.

Most of the points Marion County has allowed this year were after the JV went in.  CCS was the only team to score well and that only last thru the 1st quater.  The only defense that has been able to handle Marion was Central, and the offense has improved since that game.  It's good that you have confidense in your team, but it would take something drastic for Jackson County to upset the Warriors.

Marion County wins this one as bad as they want. I believe this team has been through about as much as any team can possibly go through as far as outside distractions. The foundation of this team is solid as it begins with their leader who all of these kids believe in-Coach Ross!

To be fair any of us could win this one as coach for Jasper.

They could probably win this one without a coach.

You want to bet? I'm no Marion County fan, but I will give you Jackson County and 35 points. This will be a blowout. Guaranteed!

This game might be one of the biggest second round mismatches in several years. Marion hasn't played the best schedule, but I will say this. Grundy, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Central, Whitwell, SP, CCS and Copper Basin are all better than Jackson County. The Blue Devils would beat Sale Creek and Lookout Valley going 2-8 with Marion's schedule.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
