Yeah I don't know if it would have made a difference either but Coby is the one best equipped to guard Good on Hampton's team. I just would have liked to have seen the matchup. I definitely think his defense plus what he would have contributed on offense would have made this one a nailbitter. Just my opinion anyway.

16 is a big margin but when you think about it, thats 4 stops and 4 baskets. Coby would have made a difference but until he gets healthy and back in the groove the Dogs won't be at full strength. But in the long run ,its just a positive because of other kids getting more playing time,it'll make um deeper  later in the season when the games really count. Its a marathon.

Does any lander fans know what is going on with cloudland? I didn't make it to the game last night but I saw where we got blowed out by HV. ???

From what I was told Cloudland was missing their best rebounder and it hurt. Also was told they don't understand the concept of help defense at all. And offensively way too much of trying to go 1 on 1. Practice wasn't going to be pleasent the next few days from what I hear. Edited by creekerballer

When you give up 79 points, you're not playing defense or rebounding. That used to be cloudlands bread and butter. This team needs to get it in gear or they'll be in the cellar

You'll have to go through us to get to the cellar lol. I agree tho I've been able to keep up with Cloudland bball this year obviously and when you don't understand basic man to man concepts that's a serious problem.

Is Logan R. Still playing, just hadn't heard anything about him this yr,he's a good player. As far as what's going on at lander land might just have something to do with the kids not having any respect for the coach,I just don't think he's the man for the job,but he maybe the only one to step up and take it.if they don't get it together they'll be the only ones in the cellar, the other teams just might be a little bit tougher than we all thought

I'm not sure any of these kids have a passion for the game. I talked to Logan R during the summer and he said he hated it. Matt H was a pretty good player and he give it up also. I think its just more work than alot of kids are willing to do without Loving the game. Hampton has several kids who play nothing but BB ,its their sport of choice and most still don't like all  the work that the coaches demands. Its year around nowadays and to keep up, you've pretty much gotta do it. It wouldn't shock me in the least to see more of these kids give it up.

I don't see how these kids that play football even have time for BB because it takes so much of there time and there is life oher than sports.I guess you have to love it to play both sports.

And as far as I know ,all 5 of Cloudlands starters play football.I'm sure that makes it tough.

    • Why? Low pay. Low budget thanks to the Rotary milking the programs revenue. Foul smell. There are other negative things... Positives: the players and being toward the top of the classification numbers wise.
    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
