Science Hill versus Maryville

Great point. Maryville should win. They are supposed to win BUT....to me what is the mindset of SHHS? They've never had what they now have in front of them. How do they handle it? Most teams who play Maryville are beat before they get off the bus.

One game. It is all about attitude.

Great moments are born from great opportunity.

I thought Science Hill would fold against Brentwood Academy but they didn't. I think that game keeps them from folding against Maryville. They'll score enough to win the game and if their defense can get enough stops they can pull it off. The biggest thing is that Maryville coaching staff. They prepare very well. But I'm still 50/50 on whether they can come up with something to stop McGue. I know SH has other good players but McGue is the deal.

Farragut, Bearden, William Blount, HVA, Heritage, Central, and now TN High

Hardin Valley is the only one worth mentioning this year.  We're talking about big boy football aren't we?

Paint it however you like...I will take Maryville's Defense over anyone else in the state this year.

Need to get a status update on #1.....

I guess you may need to tell that to the 7 teams that they rung up 40+ points against.

Obviously the numbers discredit my opinion of West not being extremely explosive.  I just think SH's offense poses more diversity and more threats than West did.  Plus, I know Science Hill had a pretty weak schedule, but they put up over 40 in 11 of their games and over 50 in 6.

Maryville is going to be Maryville, good players, good fans, good atmosphere and Great Coaching.

Having said that it's going to be very hard to prepare for McGue. He is the real deal. I think the only thing that stops McGue is himself by making a few errors. One of the best players I've seen in a long time. Reminds me of Michael Vick.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
