South Pittsburg 2015

I'm going to agree with you. I saw some potential from that kid as a receiver. That might be a more natural fit for him. He looked comfortable this season. I've heard good things about the 8th grader. Maybe they just decide to go with him in the spring at QB. Blevins will be the workhorse next season. The other guys that didn't play much will also have to step up. They need to do whatever they have to in order to get all the best athletes on the field. Now for our next dilemma. We need to develop some linemen.

i would have the linemen lifting weights more than anyone. I would really hope that we don't just write a cycle on the board and let them lift then go home. I want someone to push these guys to the max. I want to see a difference from the the stands. It's like our kicking game (kickoffs, punts, and FG), I just don't think we work on it enough. Maybe I'm wrong. But these big sophomore lineman we have coming back should be Hulks by their senior year.

My money is on they will have to first get a key to the weight room, and push each other best they can.

Beerman that Moore man is not stupid. I garuntee you he is not going to give out keys to his weight room until Friday because that is when it will be three weeks. You are not getting one either. That Moore man is not going to let you get our boys on probation with that Childress man. You think im joking but im not.

2015 SP Football. Roy, I heard you were riding that Ross man's bus to Cookeville. If you do this then that means you are becoming a warrior fan. I am only Ross's limo driver. LMBO

Im not a durn warrior fan but none of those Marion people will let me no if that Ross man is getting a bus. I may just call up there and ask. I was going to take my book and show everyone. That is the only way I can go. Pegleg is flying and troll is riding that sheep and old pirate is probably riding with the skillet slinger. Im sure not doing that mess. You think im joking but im not.

    • Worst thing SC could do is get rid of Dyer. I agree with everything said above.
    • Jada Hart, Jasmine Bailey and Kaitlyn Patterson the first two being PG's are all good guards and can handle ball pressure and are good players. Raven Wells will be a good post. There were games this summer where any one of the one's I mentioned were in double figures. Gibson County will control TO's much better this year and they will press more and get back to playing faster. AA is down across the board. I have been all over watching ball. Alcoa jumped to AAA and Jackson County moved down. to A. No telling who wins it this year. I agree Union City, Westview and Gibson County will be a dogfight and must see basketball. Poster insuated that Gibson County has a mental block against Westview. Well give me Maddie Gray and we line up last year and they wouldn't have won a game. Let's see how Westview does this year. Their starting five last year had three transfers in it. Rogers from Obion, Trevathon from Greenfield and Gray from South Fulton. Looks like they swung and missed with the girl from Florida this year so let's see how they do playing with kids from Westview. Gibson County has a really good 7th grade class this year.I have done learned you play with what you got and work them hard and develop them and see what happens. Just keep battling and see what happens. I like our team this year. Very athletic. Every year is the same with injuries and can be catistrophic to any. I watched GC all summer long. South Side and GC was very evenly matched and was a classic war.We had some quality wins this summer. Beat Huntingdon, Henry County, Bowling Green, Liitle Rock Central as well as a couple other quality Kentucky Teams. Westview's talent pool may not be what it has been without transfers the next few.
    • I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!
    • My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.
    • Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
