Recon with it near Yaba Daba Doo time for Old Pirate, figure to make this short. The Captain Is Back......all coacht fellers knows you Jasper fellers is already sweating bullets.....yep, recon so!

Yeah,, just like we were sweating bullets at the thought of playing the pirates this year. I guess that's why 6am practices have started already so we can be prepared for the almiightys return. Truth is nowhere has less been done with more than at sp under victory. With all the talent to have came through there and to not have four or five more titles is puzzling, and We all heard the pirate fans saying such while he was at the helm the last time. Maybe this was Vic's way making pirate fans appreciate him. I will be interested in seeing what will be done with lesser talent now, although the pirates will be fine in 1a. Better hit the recruiting trail hard to get some playmakers.

Jest where in the cat hair have you been? Pert near lonely in here, Old Pirate loves it when you come out to play. Recon The Captain would agree there should be more Gold Balls, but pert near sure you Jasper fellers about got Blue Balls from jumping up and down hoping the Pirates would fail to bring home the bacon & the same is true when they did bring home the bacon a wishing it could have the Warriors. Leastways, you were wrong when you boasted about the SOS's coaching would keep the Warriors in every ball game! OP will say the D way better but you sure had the Rose Colored Glasses on with that statement. Anyhow, HAPPY NEW, the Vols looked good, but sure you Jasper Vol fans were surely sorta sick with the Lane Train De-rail.

I have no problem with victor. If I was trying to hide from something like most of you guys I surely would have done it under another screen name and not one that everyone knows me by like most of you do. To have an opinion on sp having more championships is the same feeling that many sp fans have as well. I don't have to call him and tell him what I say, he will see it when he gets back on here if he hasn't already. Sounds like you may be him to me, seems as though you get your feelings hurt every time that I mention vic in a negative way. Heck he is an above average coach but the truth is he has had a lot of talent to work with in his time with the pirates. Fact is I bet there hasn't been but a handful of games in which his teams weren't Bette athletically than the team on the opposite sideline and that isn't even up for debate.truth is I personally don't know Vic or vice-versa and I bet he could careless if I didn't like him. Double dog dare really? I am certainly not afraid and have no reason to be nor him of me. Hopefully he will right the ship, I was just stating that it would be hard without that superior talent. If your feelings are hurt then you need to come see me, I don't need to call you.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
