People think just because CPA is a private school and that they are really good then they must recruit! People jump to these conclusions with no proof at all just because they are jealous.. Nothing but ignorance on these threads!! IGNORANCE!!! Except for you BPM I like you haha. I can tell that you are someone of integrity and you are representing your school well! Best of luck to you guys this friday

BPM. Would love to hear more about Milan's run for the last 7 games. What do you (or other bulldawgs) attribute the impressive turn around to?

I don't know what BPM will say, but one main reason is our QB just needed a few

games to get comfortable leading the offense. CPA was not a good team to start

your first game.

Morris has always done a good with getting the most out of his players. Very humble

coach that never makes excuses and always gives credit when due.

Will be a sad day in Milan when he decides to move on. Sorry about getting off

topic.

I would agree about the qb. And the coachin that Morris has provided. This is probably his best coaching job in all his years. Doesn't have the DI athletes but is maximizing everything he can out of these boys.

In particular the O line has come a very long way which has led to the emergence of Isiah Ross. At the beginning if the year he was not the first option at tail back. He has been rolling. Also the defense is much better with some personnel being moved around throughout the year. All have led to the 7 game run and some wins over a few very good teams along the way.

What I find amazing is how the arguments change which demonstrates it is not about truth, even for those who espouse to "Live in Truth," but simply to support what one wants to believe, regardless.  Case in point:

With CPA football the supporters resort to the facts, putting on display the roster and how many of the starters were part of the school as far back as kindergarten.  Add to that there has not even been one story that has surfaced linked to a specific kid being recruited to play football.  Combining those two factors alone makes for a very compelling argument that no recruiting is taking place.  How can one who is truly attempting to be objective not draw that conclusion?  There simply is "no smoke," (e.g. where there is smoke, there is fire).

CPA boys basketball not so much since such an unusually high number of transfers with D1 ability over the last few years have been on the roster, the majority coming over in 8th grade where financial aid rules are different.  There have been times when all 5 players on the floor have been transfers.  Last year with Lindsey leaving for his senior year, 4 starters were transfers.  Now the argument must change and it becomes the "theory of attraction."  Local celebrity, former SEC player, hard working coach has attracted these players by developing a winning program.

It does not matter that none of the other successful programs at CPA have benefited from this theory and in reality no one can name any other program anywhere that has such a high number of D1 players transfer in to play for its winning coach, families that are willing to uproot without any undue influence.  (In fact, if the "theory of attraction" were true who would benefit more than Coach Martin; a local celebrity, played on a state championship team, recruited by an SEC powerhouse, successful 1AA career who went on to play professionally.) Plus, there have been multiple stories that have surfaced over the years related to specific instances that do not support this proposed "theory of attraction."  There is a significant difference and there are those who are unwilling to apply the same logic and objectivity because it does not support what they choose to believe.

Of course the arguments have to change, but in the process it goes beyond debate into name calling and personal attack, a sure sign the facts are not there to support the arguments.  And there are no better at it than certain CPA faithful.  As big chief previously stated to the effect, "they have become what they say they despise."  Very insightful I might add.

You make great points which are true about how there has never been any evidence leading to CPA's football program recruiting! But cmon, we are talking about football here.. Not basketball.. And also the financial rules in 8th grade are not different!

Yoyo. The ex CPA basketball coach never misses an opportunity to pursue his revenge.

True, but big chief and coachrus made reference to the basketball which is happening more frequently on the football threads. It is important to know why it happens because unfortunately for the other CPA programs big chief is right "guilt by association."  And you noticed how coachrus can't argue the basketball point, he resorts to the personal.

There are some close seconds, but coachrus is the king of judging another person's motives, personal attack, name calling and baseless accusations which is what he says he is against.  But you will never see him provide facts related to basketball, like he does with football, to prove his point so he must resort to other tactics.  Classic coachrus all wrapped up in his distorted Christian world view.  He only supports the points I make.  Thank you coachrus, you make it so easy.

You are so tiresome. Please don't hijack this thread. I really don't care if you hate me or not, but it is not fair to the good people at Milan. Go back over to the basketball thread and spew.
