Cheatham is about to be right back on track with their new hire, that much I can promise you.. Top notch coach and man.. If your boys buy into his program they WILL be very successful no questions about it..

We, Smith County, had a home/home series with CC a few years back  and CC was very competitive and we really enjoyed the series. CC also had a poster whose moniker was "Howdy". Have not heard from him recently.

Bain is who I heard (may or may not be accurate). It wouldn't surprise me if Littlejohn was returning to his alma mater as well. I believe the Cubs should retain West on the staff as well.

Good luck to the Cubs! Playing in a region with Camden and Fairview plus adding the likes of Waverly, Jo Byrns, Hickman, and Creek Wood to the non district schedule will be a challenge. The in county games with Sycamore and Harpeth are always great matchups as well.

Also scooter that would be me. I decided to change my username when I left for Lebanon a few years ago. Hope all is well at Smith County!

Good Luck to the Cubs and their new coach!

Thanks for the info. as to changing your username. I always checked for your comments related to CC posts and noticed they were absent. You are only about 20 minutes fron Smih Co. if you are in Lebanon.  Coaching/teaching/adminstration  in Wilson Co?  Thanks for the informatiom.

I've since moved on to even greener pastures!

I'm eager to hear when the official announcement takes place.

This as been a very quite hiring to say the least. Has he made any staff moves? Met the team? Has he assumed teaching/coaching at CCCHS yet?

Coach Bain started on March 2nd at CCHS. Outstanding football coach and a better man. There will be no dull and boring practices with the Cubs going forward. High energy guy who will employ a physical aggressive style. Coach B, See you at the Robertson County jamboree in August as I know Hville is playing in it again.

    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
