Region 3- ( 6A-32 )

I think the region will be very competitive. I would give Franklin the early edge. After them Ravenwood, Overton, and mt Juliet will battle it out. Mcgavock and WC will try and knock one of those out of the playoffs. Lebanon and Franklin County will battle for last. Franklin is very consistent year in and year out. Ravenwood lost a lot as did Overton. Both should reload well. Mt Juliet is a question for me. I hear too many negative comments about TP. Mcgavock had a good season but can they do it again. WC seems to always be in the middle of the pack. Lebanon kept HC but is it enough to improve.

Work I respect you but I think you have the wrong mind set about TP. As you know we all have to put our foot down as coaches and last year he did just that. MJ will be loaded and could possibly sweep the region and their schedule.

By the way how's East looking?

Inside I don't know TP personally and have nothing against him. I'm just going by comments I have heard. I've heard people either love him or hate him. I know two coaches that have said he is great but other people around town don't care much for him. That's why it's a question for me. As for East, I know both the boys and girls basketball teams are having fine seasons. Both ranked top ten. Not too bad.

Kisler what is your take on the Wilson county schools. Kids, coaches, support, admin, school day, etc.

Work, I have been very impressed with Wilson County Schools; especially MJ. I can only speak of Mt Juliet since that is where my son goes. The academics and administration are excellent and the facilities could not be better.

I have always been impressed with the coaches, community support, parents and kids. The coaches at MJ prepare these young men for life; not just football. They hold them accountable to high standards to make them better men and fathers. I will be the first to admit I don't always agree or understand with everything they do; but I do realize they are doing what they feel is best for the team. They do put team first. I love this community and the people in it. We are so blessed to be a part of it.

    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
