Blackman vs. Oakland

It was an honor to watch this game.  So proud of the class shown by both teams.  You have to give Blackman credit for pulling out the win, but Oakland Coach Jennifer Grandstaff did an outstanding job today and her girls responded when so many didn't give the Lady Patriots a chance at all.  It was one of those games that you hate to see anyone lose.

Thought Oakland outplayed Blackmon in a lot of ways. Very good game. Point guard for Blackmon is the quickest I have ever seen at the state. Kid can play.

Dangerfield for Blackman is the best pg I've ever seen play on the high school level.. And has 1 year left to get another gold ball.. It's no wonder Geno at uconn is chomping nails to get her..

she is great however i think she will have trouble with length at the college level with her height. she had some trouble yest.

I can understand why you think that, however, she's played against guards 4-5 inches taller throughout of yrs of playing!  This includes exposure ball where she was on the top Jr. team as a freshman!  I've known her since she was in the 4th grade, given her work ethic and determination, in addition to her high basketball IQ, ...She'll be fine.

Dangerfield is one of the top point guards in the country. She will be fine at UConn. They don't take players if they're unsure if they can play at that level. There's no doubt in my mind that Dangerfield can play there and will have an outstanding career there.

Dangerfield has always been one of the smallest if not the smallest on the floor in every games she's ever played.. She's gonna do well at UCONN, have no doubt in my mind.. She is little, however her speed and court awareness not to mention her shot from any where on the floor is what makes her a special player. The program may say she's 5'4 but when she is on the court she is as big as anyone out there..
